Residual energy

by

In a perfect world, as it pertains to relationships ending, both individuals would come to this decision at the same time and lovingly wish each other well as they continued on their journey without each other. However, reality is that the desire to end the relationship is not mutual and by the time he/she informs you of their decision they have already taken all the steps to emotionally disconnect from you. The recipient may feel blindsided & devastated because the relationship came to a sudden stop. Residual emotional energy is similar to when a train is going full speed and the brakes are applied, the train does not stop immediately; instead it may take a mile before it finally stops. The same is true for the recipient's emotions and why there is this overwhelming desire to hold onto the individual. The truth is you cannot process your feelings with your Ex or expect him/her to console you. You two are no longer together and trying to guilt, manipulate, force, beg, plead, etc. is not going to make someone who has disconnected from you to reconnect. Yes, you need to process your feelings and we encourage you to seek a professional who has the tools to help you through this space. Friends (depending on their #perspective) are good sounding boards but if you remain stuck in the 'victim' feeling mode and healing is not transpiring, we highly recommend a professional.

There are lessons to learn from each relationship, regardless of how they end and once you learn the lessons you become available to welcome a new romantic love into your life because you have adequately created the emotional and mental space. © - Misha N. Granado http://ow.ly/i/6cv0A
